Kerala will introduce NeophyteID, an AI-powered mobile app designed to identify and map invasive plant species, at the Kerala Science Congress. Developed by the Malabar Botanical Garden, the tool uses image recognition and geospatial tracking to support citizen-led biodiversity monitoring. Each identification contributes to a real-time database, aiding conservation planning in the ecologically sensitive Western Ghats. The app promotes public participation in environmental protection through accessible AI technology.
