Ugandan runner Jacob Kiplimo made history in Barcelona by setting a new world half-marathon record of 56 minutes and 42 seconds, reclaiming his 2021 title.
Kiplimo's achievement surpassed the previous record by 48 seconds, set by Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha in November 2024, marking the greatest single improvement in the men’s world half-marathon record.
