On 18 June 2025, INS Arnala, the lead ship of the Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft class, was formally inducted into the Eastern Naval Command at Visakhapatnam. The commissioning ceremony was held in the presence of Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan and attended by key naval leaders, GRSE and L&T representatives, and dignitaries.
