In a high-risk maritime operation, the Indian Coast Guard, Navy, and Air Force collaborated on June 13, 2025, to stabilize the fire-damaged Singaporean cargo ship MV Wan Hai 503 off the Kochi coast. Despite turbulent weather conditions and limited aerial access, a Navy Sea King helicopter successfully deployed salvage crew onto the vessel, which was later handed over to tugboat Offshore Warrior for further towing and safety.
