India formally joined the BRICS Centre for Industrial Competencies (BCIC) at a DPIIT event in New Delhi, partnering with UNIDO to enhance manufacturing, digitalization, and skills via a signed Trust Fund Agreement by Agrim Kaushal (DPIIT) and Dr. Cristiano Pasini (UNIDO). The National Productivity Council (NPC) is designated as India's nodal centre under DPIIT guidance to lead capacity building and productivity for MSMEs. BCIC focuses on Industry 4.0 competencies across BRICS nations.
