During Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to Canberra in October 2025, India and Australia signed key defence agreements to boost operational cooperation between their armed forces. The pacts include information sharing, submarine search and rescue cooperation, and regular Joint Staff Talks. Both sides also discussed maritime security, cyber defence, and joint research, reaffirming their commitment to peace, stability, and a rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific region.
