The Ministry of Jal Shakti launched the nationwide campaign “Hamara Shauchalaya, Hamara Bhavishya” on World Toilet Day 2025, running from 19 November to 10 December (Human Rights Day). The campaign focuses on assessing, repairing, and beautifying Community Sanitary Complexes (CSCs) and Individual Household Latrines (IHHLs). It aligns with Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) and promotes awareness on hygiene, faecal waste management, and climate-resilient sanitation. The initiative emphasizes Jan Bhagidari, involving schools, youth groups, and local influencers to strengthen ODF sustainability and improve rural sanitation systems.
