  • The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) confirmed on February 18, 2025, that it has signed a program agreement with Reliance New Energy Battery Limited (a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited) under the said scheme. 
  • The center has awarded a contract to Reliance New Energy Battery Limited for 10 gigawatt hours of Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) capacity following a competitive global bidding process, making it eligible for incentives under India's ₹18,100 crore Production Linked Incentive (PLI) ACC scheme.
