Goa Shipyard Ltd (GSL) launched ‘Achal’, the fifth Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) in a series of eight being built for the Indian Coast Guard. The vessel was launched on June 16, 2025, in the presence of senior officials and is designed with more than 60% indigenous components. It adheres to dual-class certification from the American Bureau of Shipping and Indian Register of Shipping.
