Miss Universe 2025 concluded in Thailand with Mexico’s Fatima Bosch winning the coveted crown, while India’s representative Manika Vishwakarma did not enter the Top 12. The 74th edition of the pageant drew global attention not only for its glamour but also for intense controversies. The event saw accusations of disrespect toward contestants, emotional breakdowns and even jury walkouts. Fatima Bosch herself was at the center of controversy after host Nawat Itsaragrisil publicly reprimanded her in a livestream, calling her a “dumbhead.” Despite the turmoil, she secured the title, leading to divided reactions some celebrating her win and others calling it a strategic damage control move. The 2026 edition will be hosted in Puerto Rico.
