DRDO and Indian Navy successfully tested the indigenously developed NASM-SR (Naval Anti-Ship Missile - Short Range) from a Seaking 42B helicopter at ITR Chandipur, Odisha, demonstrating its capability against ship targets.
The missile features a Man-in-Loop system for human intervention, an indigenously developed Imaging Infra-Red Seeker for terminal guidance, and a high-bandwidth two-way data link for in-flight retargeting.
