Shri Divakar Jayant assumed charge as Director General of Naval Armament at Naval Headquarters on 2 February 2026, succeeding Shri P Upadhyay. A 1991-batch Indian Naval Armament Service officer, he brings over 33 years of experience in senior roles across major naval armament depots and MoD. An IIT Delhi graduate, he specialises in torpedo life-cycle management and explosive infrastructure planning, along with expertise in HR and administration.
