Cochin Airport to Deploy India’s First Hydrogen-Powered Buses

Cochin International Airport will become the first in India to operate hydrogen fuel cell buses for passenger transport under the Kerala Hydrogen Valley initiative. A pact with the Kerala Hydrogen Valley Innovation Cluster supports procurement of three buses under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The ₹8.7 crore project promotes clean mobility and low-emission infrastructure. CIAL will own and operate the buses, integrating them into airport transport services.
