The Coal Minister, Shri Pralhad Joshi, inaugurated new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives by Coal India Limited (CIL) aimed at providing quality education and healthcare.
CIL initiated the introduction of smart classrooms in 70 government schools, aiming to enhance the quality of education.
CIL launched the Coal India Lok Seva Protsahan Yojana to provide financial assistance of one lakh rupees to candidates from scheduled castes/tribes and women/transgender candidates qualifying the UPSC exams.
The launch of the 'Nanha Sa Dil' project by CIL aims to provide affordable surgery for congenital heart diseases to needy families.
CIL's Thalassemia Bal Seva Yojana aims to provide financial assistance of ten lakh rupees for bone marrow transplantation to eligible patients.
