  • The Coal Minister, Shri Pralhad Joshi, inaugurated new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives by Coal India Limited (CIL) aimed at providing quality education and healthcare.
  • CIL initiated the introduction of smart classrooms in 70 government schools, aiming to enhance the quality of education.
  • CIL launched the Coal India Lok Seva Protsahan Yojana to provide financial assistance of one lakh rupees to candidates from scheduled castes/tribes and women/transgender candidates qualifying the UPSC exams.
  • The launch of the 'Nanha Sa Dil' project by CIL aims to provide affordable surgery for congenital heart diseases to needy families.
  • CIL's Thalassemia Bal Seva Yojana aims to provide financial assistance of ten lakh rupees for bone marrow transplantation to eligible patients.
