  • The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) signed two memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) on February 24, 2025, covering areas from data security and governance to artificial intelligence-driven capacity building and environmental auditing, as well as research and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks.
  • The MOU signed in this regard includes the first memorandum of understanding with IIT Madras, covering key areas including the need to update cybersecurity and manual and protocol systems.
  • Its aim is also to develop guidance on how to audit entities that use digital data.
