India hosted the first BIMSTEC Youth Summit in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from February 7-11, 2025, inaugurated by Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel; the theme was "Youth as a Bridge for Inter-BIMSTEC Exchange."
A BIMSTEC Digital Conclave was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on February 7-8, 2025, discussing digital inclusion, health, and SME digital transformation; the theme was "Building Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for Shared Prosperity."
