CRS Report Rewritten: As per the Civil Registration System (CRS) report from the Registrar General of India, Bihar has recorded the sharpest drop in sex ratio at birth among all Indian states and union territories. The state's ratio declined from 964 girls per 1000 boys in 2020 to 891 in 2022. Bihar is the only state to show a consistent yearly decline since 2020. Other low-ranking states in 2022 include Maharashtra, Telangana, and Gujarat. Meanwhile, Nagaland led with the highest sex ratio at birth.
