In a landmark electoral reform, Bihar has become the first Indian state to implement an Android-based mobile e-voting system for urban local body elections. The system involves two applications—‘e-Voting SECBHR’ by C-DAC and another app by the Bihar State Election Commission—enabling citizens to cast their votes securely and remotely using smartphones.
