Gokak Award, named after eminent writer and Jnanpith Awardee Professor Vinayaka Krishna Gokak, honored individuals who made significant contributions to Indian literature, particularly in Kannada, and celebrated Prof. Gokak’s enduring legacy in promoting Indian languages.
