Renowned author Anand V. Patil, celebrated for his outstanding contributions to children’s literature (Bal Sahitya), received the Prof. V.K. Gokak Award in Bengaluru. He was also a recipient of the Bal Sahitya Award from the Kendra Sahitya Akademi, recognizing his exemplary work in enriching young minds through imaginative and thoughtful writing. The Prof. V.K. Gokak Award, named after eminent writer and Jnanpith Awardee Professor Vinayaka Krishna Gokak, honored individuals who made significant contributions to Indian literature, particularly in Kannada, and celebrated Prof. Gokak’s enduring legacy in promoting Indian languages.
