After the recent iPhone hacking alert by Indian opposition leaders, the Government of India has handed over the investigation to CERT-In.

Recently, Apple company sent a security alert to its iPhone users in India who are Indian opposition leaders.
In this security alert, a warning was issued about 'state sponsored attackers'.
In this warning, there was a danger of leaking of personal information of the leaders.
Giving top priority to this issue, the Government of India has constituted an inquiry committee.
This investigation will be completed by CERT-In.
The full name of CERT-In is Computer Emergency Response Team-India.
It is the national nodal agency for responding to computer security.
Union Information and Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced this investigation.
Hacking is a punishable offense in India.
The punishment can be imprisonment of up to 3 years or a fine of Rs 2 lakh or both.
CERT-In was established in the year 2004.
Its headquarters is located in New Delhi.
