  • In this security alert, a warning was issued about 'state sponsored attackers'.
  • In this warning, there was a danger of leaking of personal information of the leaders.
  • Giving top priority to this issue, the Government of India has constituted an inquiry committee.
  • This investigation will be completed by CERT-In.
  • The full name of CERT-In is Computer Emergency Response Team-India.
  • It is the national nodal agency for responding to computer security.
  • Union Information and Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced this investigation.
  • Hacking is a punishable offense in India.
  • The punishment can be imprisonment of up to 3 years or a fine of Rs 2 lakh or both.
  • CERT-In was established in the year 2004.
