World U20 Wrestling Championships 2022: India finish with 16 medals

  • Indian Greco-Roman wrestlers Sumit and Rohit Dahiya won bronze medals on the final day of the World U20 Wrestling Championships 2022 in Sofia, Bulgaria
  • Rohit Dahiya, who won silver and bronze at the Asian juniors earlier this year, beat Ukraine’s Ruslan Abdiiev 8-7 in the 82kg category.
  • The two medals on the final day meant that India ended the World U20 Wrestling Championships 2022 with 16 medals - one gold, four silvers and 11 bronze medals - by far their best performance at the junior world wrestling championships.
