Every year on October 12, World Arthritis Day (WAD) is observed to raise awareness about the existence and impact of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.
In 1996, Arthritis and Rheumatism International (ARI) designated October 12 as World Arthritis Day to raise awareness about this debilitating condition.
Arthritis is not a single disease, but rather a catch-all term for over a hundred joint-related conditions. It can cause swelling in or around a joint, causing pain, stiffness, and, in some cases, difficulty moving.
The theme for World Arthritis Day 2021 is "Don't Delay, Connect Today: Time2Work."
