UP’s first anti-air pollution tower inaugurated in Noida

  • The Air Pollution Control Tower (APCT) prototype constructed by state-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) was unveiled in Noida by the Union Minister of Heavy Industries Mahendra Nath Pandey.
  • The locally designed APCT would aid in reducing the city's escalating air pollution problem.
  • This tower contains a method for cleaning the PM 2.5 filter on a regular basis. 
  • With the commissioning of this tower, the polluted air will be purified within a radius of 900 square meters.
