Tunisia's President appoints 'Najla Bouden Romdhane' as first female prime minister

·         Tunisia's President Kais Saied named geologist Najla Bouden Romdhane as Tunisia's first female prime minister.

·         The move comes two months after the president seized extensive powers.

·         Najla Bowden, 63 years the same age as Mr. Syed, is a former director at Promesse which is part of a higher education reform project.

·         He is also a French-educated geologist with a doctorate in geological engineering.
