Suresh Raina retires from all forms of cricket

  • Former Indian batsman Suresh Raina has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.
  • The 35-year-old had followed M S Dhoni into international retirement on August 15, 2020.
  • As an India player, Raina played 18 Tests, 226 ODIs and 78 T20s. He was part of the World Cup winning squad in 2011.
  • He gathered 5615 runs from 226 ODIs and 1605 from 78 T20Is for India.
  • Raina, who scored a century on debut in Tests, is also the first Indian to scored hundreds in all three formats of cricket and his centuries were scored outside India.
  • Raina played his last competitive game in October 2021 when he turned up for CSK against Rajasthan Royals in Abu Dhabi.
