  • Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, a young chess player from Chennai, made news when he achieved an incredible Elo rating of 2602 at the tender age of 14 years, 3 months, and 26 days, becoming the youngest Indian and second youngest in the world to do so.
  • At the age of ten, he became the youngest International Master in history, and at the 2017 World Junior Chess Championship, he achieved his first grandmaster norm, making him the fourth youngest GM in history.
  • At the age of seven, Praggnanandhaa won the 2013 World Youth Chess Championship Under-8 championship, earning him the title of FIDE Master.
