NPCI and RBI Introduce Biometric UPI Payments

NPCI and RBI have launched biometric authentication for UPI, allowing users to pay via fingerprint or facial recognition instead of a PIN. The system, linked with Aadhaar and stored locally, ensures security and privacy. Additional features include UPI Lite for hands-free small payments and multi-signatory account approvals, aiming to simplify transactions and boost financial inclusion across India.
