·         “Exercise Milan”, India's largest naval exercise, is planned to take place early next year, with 46 countries invited.

·         Among the invitees are all Indian Ocean littoral states as well as countries from Southeast Asia.

·         It was previously hosted in Port Blair, but it has recently been relocated to Vishakhapatnam, which has more room and infrastructure.

About Exercise Milan

v  The 'Milan exercise' was started in the year 1995 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands with the participation of four littoral navies.

v  This exercise is biennial. The theme of this year's 'matching exercise' is Synergy across the Seas. This exercise was last in the year 2018. Navies of 17 countries participated in it.
