MeitY launches ITS booklet, unveils indigenous innovations in transportation with thermal camera transfer

  • Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology launched the Technology Transfer of Indigenous Thermal Camera as well as Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Technology/Product Handbook. This initiative is an important step in the country's journey in line with the innovation, science and technology theme of India@2047.
  • The launch saw outstanding Indian industry leader M/s Aditya Infotech (CP Plus) benefit from technology transfer of indigenous thermal camera. This has led to progress in indigenous technology development and transfer critical to sectors such as smart cities, industries, defence and health.
  • The Ministry has unveiled the ITS Technology/Product Handbook which incorporates innovations in sensors for traffic control, public transport, road safety and traffic applications. It aims to increase the efficiency and safety of transport systems across the country.
