KV Subramanian steps down as Chief Economic Adviser after three-year tenure, will return to academics

  • K V Subramanian, the Finance Ministry's Chief Economic Adviser, has decided to return to academia after completing his three-year term.
  • The Centre appointed Subramanian, an ISB Hyderabad professor, as the CEA in December 2018.
  • He had taken over for Arvind Subramanian.
