Ketanji Brown Jackson Sworn In As 1st Black Woman on US Supreme Court

The United States made history as Ketanji Brown Jackson was sworn in as the first Black woman to serve on the Supreme Court.
The 51-year-old Jackson is the court’s 116th justice, and she took the place of the justice she once worked for.
Ms Jackson, 51, will replace Justice Stephen Breyer, joining the court's three-member liberal minority.
Jackson is the 116th justice, sixth woman and third Black person to serve on the Supreme Court since its 1789 founding.
Biden appointed Jackson last year to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit after she spent eight years as a federal district judge.
