International Malaria Conference (IMC) 2026 Concludes in New Delhi

  • IMC 2026 was held from March 7–9, 2026 in New Delhi, organised by ICMR–National Institute of Malaria Research.
  • The conference theme was 'Discovery, Development and Delivery: Driving Malaria Elimination and Beyond.'
  • Sessions covered parasite biology, drug resistance, diagnostics, surveillance tools, and community-based malaria control.
  • Malaria is caused by Plasmodium parasites and transmitted through the bite of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes.
