Indian Squash Star Saurav Ghosal Lifts Sydney Championship Trophy

  • Former world number 10 Ghosal announced his retirement from the sport last April (2024), but earlier this year he changed his mind and decided to give the sport another chance. 
  • Saurav Ghosal made a stunning comeback after retirement, winning the PSA Challenger title at the Octane Sydney Classic 2025 by defeating Egypt's Abdelrahman Nassar 11-2, 11-6, 11-2 in the final.
  • Ghosal has won 11 PSA titles so far and has earned several medals at the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games, including a gold medal in the team event at the 2022 and 2014 Asian Games.
