India Successfully Test Fires BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile

India successfully test-fired BrahMos supersonic cruise missile.
The missile was test fired from the Indian Navy's destroyer ship INS Visakhapatnam off the western coast.
The supersonic cruise missile is part of the BrahMos Aerospace, an India-Russian joint venture. It can be from submarines, ships, aircraft, or land platforms.
The BrahMos missile flies at a speed of 2.8 Mach or almost three times the speed of sound.
It is a sea-to-sea variant of the missile. In the test, the missile hit the target ship with utmost care with its maximum range. Information about the test of the missile was shared by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
