भारत की पहली 'जल टैक्सी सेवा' का शुभांरभ किया गया

भारत की पहली 'जल टैक्सी सेवा' का उद्घाटन महाराष्ट्र में किया गया जो नवी मुंबई क्षेत्र को मुख्य भूमि मुंबई से जोड़ेगी।
केंद्रीय बंदरगाह, जहाजरानी और जलमार्ग मंत्री सर्बानंद सोनोवाल द्वारा वाटर टैक्सी को हरी झंडी दिखाई गई है।
8.37 करोड़ रुपये की परियोजना वर्तमान में तीन मार्गों पर चलेगी और राज्य और केंद्र सरकार द्वारा खर्च का 50% साझा किया गया है। इन तीन मार्गों में बेलापुर से फेरी घाट - घरेलू क्रूज टर्मिनल, बेलापुर से एलीफेंटा गुफाएं और बेलापुर से जेएनपीटी शामिल हैं।
एक यात्रा पर प्रति व्यक्ति की लागत स्पीड बोट के लिए ₹820 से ₹1,200 और कटमरैन के लिए ₹290 के बीच होगी।
