India ranks 40th in 2021 Mercer CFS Global Pension Index survey

  • The 13th edition of the Mercer Global Pension Index has been released by Mercer Consulting, a leading global management consulting firm (2021 MCGPI).
  • In the 2021 Mercer CFS Global Pension Index survey, India ranked 40th out of 43 countries.
  • Iceland has the highest index value (84.2), followed by the Netherlands (83.5) and Norway (82.0). India's overall index value was 43.3. With a score of 40.6, Thailand had the lowest overall index value.
  • India was ranked 34th out of 39 pension systems in 2020.
