Himachal gets 1st biodiversity park

  • The first biodiversity park of Himachal Pradesh has been established at a cost of Rs 1 crore at Bhulah in Janjehli Valley of Mandi district, which would prove to be a boon for researchers and tourists and also help conserve endangered Himalayan herbs.
  • The park has been created under National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS) project by Himachal Pradesh Forest Department.
  • This is the first park in the state in which emphasis has been laid on conservation of endangered herbs.
