  • फीफा ने तीसरे पक्ष के अनुचित प्रभाव के कारण अखिल भारतीय फुटबॉल महासंघ (एआईएफएफ) को तत्काल प्रभाव से निलंबित कर दिया है।
  • निलंबन का मतलब यह भी है कि अंडर -17 महिला विश्व कप, जो भारत में 11-30 अक्टूबर से होने वाला था, देश में योजना के अनुसार आयोजित नहीं किया जा सकता है।
  • फीफा क़ानून के अनुसार, सदस्य संघों को अपने-अपने देशों में कानूनी और राजनीतिक हस्तक्षेप से मुक्त होना चाहिए। फीफा ने पहले इसी तरह के मामलों में अन्य राष्ट्रीय संघों को निलंबित कर दिया है।
