Chetan Sharma reappointed as Chairman of BCCI’s selection committee

The BCCI announced the All-India Senior Selection Committee, retaining Chetan Sharma for the post of chairman of selectors.
He has been re-appointed exactly two months after his entire panel was disbanded by the BCCI for the Indian team’s semi-final exit in the T20 World Cup.
He was the head of the board's selection committee from December 2020 till last month.
The committee also named Shiv Sundar Das (Central Zone), Subroto Banerjee (East Zone), Salil Ankola (West Zone) and Sridharan Sharath (South Zone) as the other members of the selection panel.
The Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising Sulakshana Naik, Ashok Malhotra, and Jatin Paranjape undertook an extensive process for selecting members of the committee.
