Center launches 'Clean Technology Challenge' under SBM-U

The Center has launched the 'Clean Technology Challenge' under the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM-U).
The purpose of this challenge is to promote waste management in India. The goal of this challenge is to strengthen India's waste management sector and foster an environment conducive to enterprise development.
The Clean Technology Challenge will be in effect until January 15, 2022.
It will investigate waste management solutions in four areas: social inclusion, zero dumps (solid waste management), plastic waste management, and digital enablement.
Since the introduction of the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban in 2014, solid waste management has been a major priority.
