Bengaluru Metro becomes first in India to conduct 5G network trials

  • The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has become the first Metro in India to test 5G network. 
  • The 5G network, deployed at MG Road station, was tested under a pilot project of TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India). 
  • It gave a download speed of 1.4 Gbps and an upload speed of 65 Mbps.
