  • BEML Ltd has won a ₹866.87 crore contract to design, manufacture, and commission India's first domestically produced bullet train. 
  • The order, placed by Indian Railways' Integral Coach Factory (ICF), involves two high-speed trainsets with eight coaches each. 
  • Each coach is priced at ₹27.86 crore, with the contract covering design, development, tooling, and testing facilities.
