HP Police Constable- 2026: Notification, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Vacancy, Important Dates

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) issued the Himachal Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment 2026 notification to fill 734 vacancies (491 Male Constables and 243 Female Constables). Selected candidates receive a starting basic salary in Pay Level-3 (₹20,200 – ₹64,000) alongside applicable state government allowances. Selection involves a Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), a Written Examination, Document Verification, and a Medical Examination.

Essential Educational Qualifications: 

Must have passed Matriculation (10th) and 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board or institution.  

Non-Himachali candidates must have completed 10th and 10+2 from an institution within Himachal Pradesh (exempt for Bonafide Himachali candidates).  

Age limit (as on 01 January 2026):

Age limit of the candidates should be from 18 to 25 years.

A uniform fee shall be charged from all the candidates, irrespective of their category. 

Mode of Payment:

The desirous & eligible candidates shall pay the examination fee online by Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI/any other online digital mode, as the case may be, on or before the prescribed closing date for submission of Online Recruitment Applications on OTR portal.  

Fee once paid shall neither be refunded under any circumstance nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
