Industrialist and former chairman of Bajaj Group Rahul Bajaj has passed away.
Rahul Bajaj had pneumonia and also a heart problem.
Born on June 10, 1938, Rahul Bajaj acted as the chairman of the Bajaj Group for over 40 years. Rahul Bajaj resigned as the chairman of Bajaj Auto in April last year and was currently the Chairman Emeritus of the firm.
Rahul Bajaj was awarded the third-highest civilian award Padma Bhushan in 2001. Bajaj also served as a Rajya Sabha MP from 2006-10.
As per February 2021, Rahul Bajaj was ranked at 421 on the Forbes list of the world's billionaires with a net worth of USD 8.2 billion.
