Yogi Adityanath created a new record

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a sage-politician, has won his first assembly election from Gorakhpur Urban constituency by defeating Samajwadi Party candidate Subhavati Upendra Dutt Shukla by a margin of 1,03,390.
This is the first time that Adityanath has been elected as an MLA.
Earlier, he had become the chief minister the first time after being elected as a Member of Legislative Council.
