  • In wrestling, Jyoti Berwal won the gold medal in the women's 76 kg freestyle category at the Under-20 World Championships in Pontevedra, Spain. 
  • Jyoti defeated Ukraine's Maria Orlevic in the final without giving a chance to score a single point and won the title.
  • This was India's second consecutive World Under-20 title in the women's 76kg category after Priya Malik clinched the title in the 2023 edition.
