  • The world's first conservation and breeding centre for the Asian king species of vultures will be set up in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh. 
  • The name of the centre is Jatayu Conservation and Breeding Centre. The centre will improve populations of endangered species that have been listed on the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Endangered List since 2007.
