Every year, On June 21 the special occasion of World Music Day, also known as ‘Fête de la Musique’ is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm.
It is an annual celebration that promotes music and its universal language. It is celebrated globally to honour the singers and musicians who make the world a better place to live.
The history of World Music Day dates back to 1982 with its origin in France.
The first World Music Day was celebrated in France, Paris on June 21, 1982.
The theme for World Music Day 2023 is “Music on the intersections”, which highlights the power of music to bring communities and people together and urges for social change.
